A DIY Gift Wrapping Guide

Discover our favourite tips on presenting a beautifully-wrapped gift...

Upon spying this amazing rack of brightly coloured ribbon at The Gallery Of Claremont, we felt inspired to share some tips on gift wrapping - after all, presenting a beautifully wrapped present is almost as nice as what's inside.
Here's some of our favourite tips for inventive DIY gift-wrapping;
1. Invest in some double-sided tape: It stays put and more importantly, stays out of sight.
2. Recycle your used gift wrapping: Old ribbon can be added to a shredder and used for lining gift boxes and gift bags.
3. Get creative:  Mix and match different papers for a unique, colour blocking effect; wrap your gift in paper then cut a band of a contrasting colour to place around the middle of the package. Tie with twine to finish.
4. Embellish: Use stamps, wax seals, lace tape or buttons to add a unique touch to plain ribbon and paper.
