High winter spotlights a return to the luxury of less. Sophisticated, classic silhouettes and relaxed layering take centre stage. Knitwear is paired with crisp shirting, while poncho influenced outerwear and drop crotch cuts are a subtle nod to the bohemian.
Heavy grey knits and marle materialise anew: paired with distressed denim, boyfriend style shirting and chic flats or paired with elegant heels for a killer take on day to night dressing. Boxy blazers make for directional office appeal and double as sharp, on-point evening attire.
Print and texture work together in a style-forward head to head. The linear patterns that dominated the catwalks this season are reinterpreted here as chic navy pinstripes and elsewhere in red on white. A monotone check motif emerges across skirts and tops – clean, modern, and minimal.
Neutrals surge forward as invigorated classics, with textural fabrications in shades of oatmeal and tan, roll neck tops and tailored coats.
Leather and lace signal the new tough luxe. A knee-length leather skirt is elevated via a full hem and waist detailing. Strong shoulders are the key feature on this season’s must have leather jacket, softened when teamed with lace layers. The palette here is both military and romantic, khaki tones and rich navy blues updated via animal print embossing and beaded detail. Faux fur adds instant luxury to the biker vest – this winter’s secret style weapon.
The new Seed Women’s winter 2015 collection will arrive in-store on Level 1 from April 2015.
