Ohana Acai Bar, now open in The Lane at Claremont Quarter, is whipping up the tastiest, healthiest Acai bowls in town.

Owner Dev Singh says Ohana is proud of its locally produced granola, made from all-natural ingredients and no refined sugar.

At the base of an acai bowl is the antioxidant-rich acai berry. These powerful berries are bursting with vitamins, good fats, fibre and the superfood is believed to be beneficial for brain, heart and cholesterol health.     

“Acai berries are an amazing superfood, they have ten times more antioxidants than blueberries,” Dev explains.

“All of our acai bowls and smoothies are made with no added sugar, no refined sugar, our granola is gluten-free and nut-free and we’re vegan-friendly. Even our chocolate bowls are not made with chocolate, they’re made with Cacao, which is 100 per cent natural.

“Our smoothies don’t contain syrup or added sugar, they are amazingly healthy, refreshing and topped up with superfoods.”

While traditionally a breakfast meal, acai bowls are so delicious they have made their way into lunchtime menus, all-day snacks and after-dinner treats.
