The first pieces from the Camilla and Marc SS19 collection have arrived at Claremont Quarter, a beautiful tease of what’s to come from the brand in the coming weeks. Established in 2003 by sibling designers Marc Freeman and Camilla Freeman Topper, Camilla and Marc is regarded internationally for its classic cool aesthetic with effortlessly chic suiting and sculptural details. SS19 draws on the simple genius of nature through both proportion and palette.

The SS19 collection was inspired by the mysticism of the ‘Golden Ratio’ and its recognition in nature, visually represented through proportion, symmetry and beauty. This collection looked to the existence of divinity in nature and the genius, simplicity and power that is inherent in the natural world that surrounds us. Our SS19 collection draws on this power with a play on proportion and its implicit relationship with the female form.

Tailoring remains the backbone of this collection. The suiting is sharp with linear shoulders and nipped in waists. The silhouette is strong but fluid. There’s a beautiful bone three-piece suit, a sharp silver lurex mini dress and a standout chartreuse velvet dress, skirt and top, all of which reflect the diversity in the collection.

I love The Aline suit - it’s a timeless summer take on a very traditional suiting silhouette.  You can style the double-breasted neutral blazer with a matching high waisted pant and flats for day or dress it up in the evening with heels. You can also style the blazer with a bike short, or the pant with a simple white tee, it’s an incredibly versatile suit to own.

The Camilla and Marc woman evolves each season but her essence remains. She is sophisticated, elegant and effortless and never without her edge. This sense of classic cool defines her and her wardrobe is a mix of timeless silhouettes, mixed back with a touch of sport and luxurious fabrications.
