13 March (from 12pm) - 12 April | FREE
Located on Level Two Opposite Country Road.

An Australian exclusive, this rare exhibition offers insight into the notoriously stylish Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel as captured by renowned Hollywood photographer Douglas Kirkland. One of the best-known and longest-working photographers of our time, Kirkland has captured the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Nicole Kidman, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt.

We are delighted to celebrate the fashion icon, Coco Chanel, with this exclusive insider’s view of her incredible life, captured by one of the world’s most legendary photographers, Douglas Kirkland.

Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, Douglas Kirkland has had to cancel his Claremont Quarter appearances scheduled for later this week. Mr Kirkland and wife Françoise have expressed their deep regret in missing the Australian launch of Kirkland’s ‘Three Weeks With Coco Chanel’ exhibition.

“Unfortunately given the current global situation which continues to escalate, Françoise and I are so disappointed that we are now unable to travel to Perth,” said Kirkland. “I have had to make the very difficult decision to remain in Los Angeles.”

Friday’s customer event will continue as scheduled with Mr Kirkland and the Claremont Quarter team planning a special screening from his home in LA.

Saturday’s book signing will no longer take place, however, a limited supply of books will be available for purchase from the exhibition.

‘Three Weeks With Coco Chanel’ by Douglas Kirkland runs Friday, March 13 to Sunday, 12 April.
