Flannel him

The Story

The Flannel story started in 2006 but didn’t lean into menswear until 2013. Flannel’s managing director John looked to create the husband equivalent of his wife Kristy’s collections; a her and him style that didn’t match, but complimented each other perfectly.

Flannel for him instantaneously distinguished itself with its wearable clothing that melds quality and craftsmanship with timeless designs and eclectic finishes.

The Flannel journey is one that continues to grow, with stores across Australia and the USA.

Ethos

Flannel is a family-owned and operated brand. They strive to uphold their own ethical ideals and sustainability standards in each step of every Flannel garment’s journey.

They are ever conscious of their ecological footprint and are always inspired by the leaders in fashion education and technology. Their design, retail and logistical teams are continuously re-evaluating the best options in this fast-changing space.

The team strives to implement the pioneering sustainable methods that continue to emerge, improving the fashion landscape and lightening their footprint on this planet we all share and love.

Vision

Flannel sets out to create pieces that will last a lifetime. They don’t chase trends or fast fashion. Instead, they seek to create timeless pieces that redefine the meaning of effortless style and will remain in fashion for years to come.

They know their customers collect and treasure the pieces, wearing old Flannel with new.

In a time when many clothes are designed to be disposable, Flannel continues to prioritise garments designed for durability and longevity.

Materials & Products

The Flannel design team is constantly seeking out innovative ways to create contemporary and unique products while remaining true to their ethos.

Throughout the design process, the team considers printing methods, materials, trims, sampling and more.

They welcome new ideas and innovations with an open heart and mind, constantly evolving toward the best long-term solutions to ensure they are as responsible and sustainable as possible.

Production & Supply Chain

Flannel has consciously chosen to work with boutique production houses in the USA, Italy, China, India and Indonesia since they first opened their doors in 2007.

These niche houses share the same morals and values as the Flannel Family: mindfulness, quality, innovation, and a sense of community.

Their pieces are created by artisans, the very best in their field, who look to uphold the textile traditions of generations.

Flannel’s aim is to keep these artisanal families and communities flourishing, along with the generations of knowledge they hold and cherish.

Carbon Footprint

At Flannel, they have committed to both their customer and planet that they will continue to reduce, reuse and recycle across all aspects of the business.

Sustainability is a core principle in their day-to-day operations. They care deeply about the environment and prioritise processes that help to protect it and lighten their footprint.
